Privacy policy
The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't run ad tracking, and you can listen to every episode without giving us anything at all.

What we collect
Analytics about your visit
Which pages and episodes you view, how you arrived, and general information about your browser, device and approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address — we never store the address itself).
Why: To understand which episodes resonate so we can make more of what the community actually listens to.
Handled by: Vercel Web Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking) and Google Analytics 4.
Your email address
Only if you enter it into the newsletter signup.
Why: To send you new-episode announcements. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Handled by: Buttondown.
What you send in a form
Your name, email address and message when you use the contact or Q&A forms.
Why: To read and reply to you. Nothing more.
Handled by: Resend, which delivers it to our inbox.
Questions you ask the AI guide
The text of your question and the conversation it belongs to, sent to Anthropic to generate an answer. We do not attach your identity to it, and we do not keep a log of questions.
Why: To answer your question about the archive.
Handled by: Anthropic (Claude), and Voyage AI to search the transcripts.
Cookies and your choices
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies, and only where you've allowed them. We use nothing for advertising, and we don't track you across other sites.
If you're in the EEA or the UK, Google Analytics is switched off before you choose. You'll see a banner on your first visit; until you accept, no analytics cookies are set. Decline and none ever are — we fall back to anonymous, cookie-free counts.
Elsewhere, analytics is on by default, as is standard practice. You can opt out at any time with the button below, with your browser's "Do Not Track" or cookie settings, or withGoogle's opt-out add-on.

How long we keep things
Analytics data expires on Google's and Vercel's own retention schedules — currently up to 14 months for Google Analytics. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Form submissions live in our email inbox like any other message.
We briefly hold your IP address in memory to rate-limit the AI chat and the forms against abuse. It is never written to a database and disappears within the hour.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it corrected, or ask us to delete it — email team@ventures.fm and we'll respond. If you're in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
